Welcome to Part Two of this Wellness Meditation.
Breathe calmly and gently, settled into your own sacred space.
Feel your feet or seat connected with whatever is supporting you that rests upon the floor and beneath that it is supported by the earth.
You are connected.
You are hugged by gravity, warmed by sunlight, fed by earth and watered by rain.
You are alive.
Look into your heart and set your intention for meditation today. Perhaps it is to become fully aware of your own aliveness.
Now take a moment to notice the light around you. Your candle, the sunlight – see how much light there is around you.
Breathe in that light. Deep down into your belly. Feel your feet or seat connected to your grounding point and reach down with your breath through your connection point into the earth, to its center; down, down deep, into the center of the earth, pushing down roots from your feet or connection point and reaching down into the earth’s glowing, warm, nurturing golden lighted center. Pull up the warmth and deepness of the molten power of earth’s center with your in-breath. Feel the connection, the rootedness, of being held and grounded in the strength and power of the earth beneath you, holding you safely in its empowering embrace.
Now, reach up with your breath into the lightness of the air surrounding you – lift your face upward toward the life-giving sun and sparkling stars and moon and breathe that in…feel the warmth of the air illumined with lightness, spaciousness and freedom. Breathe the lightness and clarity of heavenly light down into your center.
Continue to breathe, filling your center with the light of earth and heaven. You are the holder of both. Inside of you, their strength and spaciousness exist together as one. Breathe it in. Fill yourself. I am full.
Realize that the light is within you.
- Breathing in, I connect with my inner light, breathing out, I release the darkness and vibration of any tension or fear
- Breathing in, I am filled with light, breathing out, I release all thoughts and feelings that do not serve my higher intention
- Breathing in, I am filled with power and light, breathing out, I breathe that light and power into the space around me, clearing all outside influences that do not benefit and support me. Empowering me to live fearlessly and fully with each breath, in each day.
Keep breathing in the light, clearing inside and out, knowing that the Reiki infused into this article is all around you in the breath.
If you notice an area of tension in your body, put your hand on it and breathe in to catch the tension, exhaling and releasing it on the out breath, and then continuing to breathe in the light and expand it out and around you with your breath. See yourself glowing with the warmth and energy of the earth and sky, the light radiating from and about you.

When you are filled with light and presence release any unneeded or excessive energy gently through your hands on the out breath until you achieve the perfect balance for you. Sit and breathe in this space of perfect balance and peace for a minute, and then come slowly back to the physical space you are in. Wiggle your fingers and toes gently, move your neck, slowly open your eyes. Let the sensation of the meditation, the balance, energy and peacefulness settle within you.
When you are ready, offer yourself Namasté:
Namaste: “I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you, which is of love, of truth, of light and of peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one.”
Apart or together, we all have the power of Namasté within us. Breathe, and Be Well.
