My intentional journey into shamanism began through my Reiki practice. After years of practice, I realized that my meditations were spiritual journeys and I began to look for ways to deepen this beautiful, insightful, healing connection. At the same time, I was working with clients whose needs were clearly beyond my capacities in Reiki practice, and began to look for deeper ways to support their spiritual growth and wellness. I recognized trauma as soul loss before I knew what soul loss was, and have always had a deep sense of working with the spiritual roots of illness as the path to true healing.
In the course of my Shamanic practice development I have have sought excellent teachers who would demand of me the rigorous authenticity needed to produce a transformative, effective practice. I started with online courses by world renowned Shaman, Sandra Ingerman, and then moved to a local shaman trained by her, Leontine Hartnell, for in depth shamanic Apprenticeship Training. Through the winds, I was blown into the path of Renee Baribeau, the co-host of the Shaman’s Cave with Sandra, and was led into Wind Apprenticeship training. I was then invited to dive in and learn Ocean of Light Healing by Leontine Hartnell as well. Since 2019 I have been in constant training and practice with these amazing shamans.
Entering into the unknown world of Shamanism was a difficult step for me as it required an unsettling shift in my understanding and perception of the world – both physical and spiritual – around me. This transformation has taken place over years of discovery and practice, training with these learned Shamanic teachers and slowly allowing concepts embedded in my modern upbringing to melt into the light of new understandings of older truths, experiences and the wisdom of ancient teachings.
Restoring healthy spiritual energy to individuals is key to healing and balancing the earth and all of humanity, one person at a time. This is the work of the shaman. The great and deep joy that dedicating myself to this work and learning have instilled in me is one that I share with clients and seekers who choose to work with me.
