Is this the Final reading for Election Energy 2024?

I have occasionally and very surprisedly been drawn into a politically energetic reading for our country. This has led me to a real interest in reading the energy for various political events, including the war in Ukraine and the Middle East (I did not publish the middle east reading.) This is now the third time I have been drawn unexpectedly into a national political reading, the other two being the end of 2020 looking forward into 2021 pre- Jan 6th, and the end of 2021 for 2022

The IN and YO of the Precepts

IN and YO are concepts of duality in Japanese energy and Reiki study. They are similar to the more familiar Chinese concepts of YANG and YIN – which we see as something having a feminine or masculine nature or attributes. In Japanese understanding of duality however, everything has both. IN and YO are two sides of the same coin, more like inner and outer or right and left. We often want to believe they are two different “things” when in truth there is one orginal energy. Electricity is electricity. It has both a positive and negative charge, but the two together are electricity. There is only one energy. Similarly there is IN and YO to everything. Light and dark, hot and cold are two examples of common dualities found in nature. Let’s look at the Reiki Precepts to see how this understanding works in them.

Part One – What is an Incantation?

At the beginning of this year I was told in a journey to work with magic and spells.

This did not appeal to me at all – sounds like witchcraft, evil intent and interfering with nature – and made me think of scary things like being burned at the stake. My deep Christian background rears its head and cries no, but my inner soul-spirit is once again prodded into observation, learning and reflection. Because you see, I have told spirit I am willing – I am willing to go on, to be uncomfortable with myself, to grow – but only in the name of love and healing, only in the light of wisdom and heart. Spirit is most obliging and thus I travel new roads of experience and understanding – sometimes a little like a frightened child peeking around the corner into a room full of warmth and light, afraid to see that it is safe and alright.

The Unbodyness of Non-Present Reiki

Teaching a level two student the subtlety of non-present Reiki is a deep walk into metaphysical spirituality. In Western teaching we get around this by creating a sense of distance. We teach students that Symbol 3 is like using the telephone to dial across distances. We use teddy bears to focus students and teach them how to bring a non-present being into presence symbolically. None of this is bad, it is an outer look at some very difficult concepts for westerners.

Ready to Heal

I have been struggling with health issues for the past year, and now a seeming escalation to accidents – as if the universe is more urgent about getting my attention – which I had thought I was giving to all this struggle.

This morning there was something different.

There was an end to struggling – even if only for a few minutes of meditation – I came to a place.

A peaceful place.

Are you ready to heal they asked?

I am ready I said.

Sickness … is Dismemberment!

The Darkness of Illness

As I come up out of a month of cough-racked illness, sickness, and little deaths, feeling the depth of breath refilling my lungs with lifegiving air, energy beginning to flow through my weak and worn limbs and a lightness about my whole sensation of being in my body, I realized that this illness, this sickness of body and soul, was in itself a dismemberment. In shamanism, spirit works with us – through journeys, dreams, revelations. These are clearer and more frequent the more we practice, meditate, celebrate, and dissolve ourselves into the hollow bones that can vibrate and resonate with the energies of wisdom and light that surround us all the time. Part of this creation process, this becoming, moving, changing, evolving, transforming is the challenging process of dismemberment, dissolution, deconstruction, and dis-creation that clears the way for new growth, more light, clearer vision, closer connection. The path of shamanism is not for the faint and half-hearted.

We all carry grief.

At some time. At some point. We suffer loss. Loss of Identity and Self. Loss of Hope. Loss of Love. Loss of Relationship. Loss of Expectations. Loss of Health. Loss of Work. Loss of Meaning. Loss of Vision. Loss of Life. Loss. Loss of whatever it is we thought we had, or we had and did not know until it was gone, or loss of what we felt we deserved and did not get.

We all carry grief. It is the gentle accompaniment to life we have learned to live with, and ignore, almost every day. We carry the little losses as they build up an unknown momentum until a big wave of one comes along and we are washed away with all that grief.

Birth Healing

It occurs to me, with all the birth healing that I do, that I have not shared my story, my learning, my wisdoms with you here on birth, life, and celebration.

When I work with someone in birth healing, the first place I go back to is their own birth

Whatever is remembered and whatever comes to light as we work together is where we begin. All birth healing begins with our own births. We must go back to our own entry point to be able to guide our new ones to theirs. Like it or not, we are intimately involved with the ushering in of new life – a powerful and sacred journey of arrival. As you can see from my own story below, birth healing can be done years after giving birth, but how wonderful to offer it as a gift to yourself, your newborn and your lives together from the start.

Clean Your House! Land Healing

I found this post unpublished in my archives and wanted to update you on this little house before you read its state in 2015 described below. Contractors came in another time to clean it up and removed the roof to put on extended dormers for a second floor. While that was happening I stopped by several times and did clearing work – letting out the trapped energies of an unhappy past clear through the roof, cleansing the home and land from disturbances and restoring health and blessing to it. Today it flourishes with a new walk and gate, it holds an air of cute happiness and cleanliness, and has not changed hands since this work was completed. It is a joy to do this work! Spiritual Health for Living and Working

This cute little house in our town is empty – no for sale sign, no inhabitants. It’s been that way for months.
