Last blog I talked about passive Reiki Energy. Everyone who is attuned always has the capacity for active Reiki Energy. It never goes away.
If you have ever received an attunement you are Active Reiki Ready
So how do you reconnect with a conscious sense of Reiki energy flowing in your life now, perhaps to use it actively to support you in going forward, in helping others or in getting through a difficult time?
One of the most fundamental precepts of Reiki is the practice of Self-Reiki. From level one on, those who are attuned to Reiki are encouraged, urged and instructed to perform Self-Reiki every day, as well as to incorporate the Reiki precepts and Reiki meditation into their lives. So where is your Reiki in you and how do you recognize Reiki after all these years? Here is a simple activity you can do to reconnect.
Reiki Meditation is a powerful tool for re-activating that Reiki energy when directed by your intention.
How to meditate? Breathe. Yes, that’s right, just breathe. Reiki lives in the breath. Follow these easy steps to consciously connect with Reiki Energy:
1) Sit Quietly, in a quiet place
2) Keep you back straight but not rigid
3) Place your hands lightly on your abdomen (below your waistline)
4) Ask to connect with Reiki, (set an intention), then
5) Breathe in slowly through your nose bringing the air down into your belly until your hands lift with the expansion of your belly. It’s okay if this does not happen right away. Most people do not breathe deeply and it takes a few practice breaths to get the feel of the belly breath.
6) Exhale slowly feeling the air come up the back of your throat and out your nose in a gentle exhalation. Continue breathing like this for 3-5 minutes.
You will notice several things happening. First you will slow down with your breathing. Secondly you will become aware of your belly, of the path and presence of the air flowing through your body, into and out of it. Your tension level will go down and you will become aware of not only your body, but your surroundings, in a deeper, quieter way. Reiki is beginning to flow with your breath. You may also begin to feel your hands warm up. Normally you would think this is because they are resting on your body, but remember that Reiki has activated the chakras (energy centers) in your hands and feet. What feels like “normal” warming to you is the quickening of your energy centers in response to the presence of Rei-ki in you. You will sense warmness from this energy, perhaps even inside of you, as you breathe. This is Reiki. You are connected. Do not be deterred if nothing appears to happen at first. Keep at it. You have been energetically asleep to your Reiki for a long time. Be patient. It is there.
Some simple ways, once the flame is ignited, to feed the fire:
1 – Remember your Gassho. After breathing quietly for a few minutes and sensing the calm and warmth, bring your hands together, fingertips pointing upward, directly in front of your heart, so that the tips of your fingers feel your breath as you exhale. Continue to breathe quietly. No music or meditation aids are needed. Feel the breath going across your fingers. Your hands may feel warm, tingle or “jump” with energy. For more on Gassho Meditation, please contact me for a “renewal workshop” session at HealingHands@CrystalReikiEnergy.com. You will re-learn the joy of Gassho as a powerful tool for self-healing and to enhance treatment for others. And remember, energy is increased as it is shared within a group. So as we meet together you will learn to sense the energy you already have.
2 – Recite the Reiki Precepts – even better, print them out here, and keep them before you as you meditate. Try reciting them slowly three times while in Gassho position.
3 – And finally, ask me about Meditation Techniques and Tools to strengthen the flow of Reiki. Some simple techniques such as learning and practicing Joshin Kokyu Ho, Hara Breathing, understanding how to work with and balance the three Ki’s of Reiki and using the precepts in Reiki Meditation can wonderfully deepen the practice of Reiki in your life. Connect with your Reiki heritage through learning these simple practice techniques and go deeper with Reiki. Email me for information on Reiki mentoring.
Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing.
